It All Started With A Home And A Thought

Clara's journey to use less single-use plastic began when she became a first-time mom. Upon discovering that most of the plastics people discarded ended up in the oceans again, contaminating the water supply and producing hundreds of microplastics, Clara was appalled when she realized she was giving her baby the same food and water.

Driven by her newfound awareness and frustration with the amount of waste the home cleaning industry produced, particularly the single-use plastic waste from bathroom and household cleaning essentials, Clara decided to take action. She wanted to do her part to help address the issue, but she encountered a challenge - finding high-quality household products like hand soap, laundry detergent, and multi-purpose cleaners that didn't come packaged in plastic.

Creation of Refill Route

It was from this determination to make a positive change that Refill Route was born. Clara believed that by offering zero-waste options, she could not only help solve the problem of water waste but also significantly reduce the plastic footprint left behind by household cleaning products. Refill Route became her way of contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future, one refill at a time.

Our mission: Make it easy to be eco-friendly with innovative products in zero waste packaging that are convenient, effective and affordable.
